Chelle Scraps 12.4.11

I debated not posting this layout.  I hate layouts with messed up faces…but DH doesn’t want our little guy’s face all over the internet, so it is what it is.  And he’s in nearly every layout I make anymore.

I used the FREE Autumn Potpourri Alpha (recolored) & Vrooom!  (I my new RADLAB plugin.  It makes ALL my photos look FABULOUS.)

What did you scrap this week?

Slam Dunk & Black Belt Playdate | Digital Scrapbooking Inspiration

I Digi-Dare you!

I am sponsoring the Digi-Dare this week. What does that mean? Well, it means if you complete the dare, you have a chance to win a up to $40 in coupons from me & the other Dare sponsors this month. (Do it! Everyone is so busy right now…your chances are GREAT!)
Here’s the details:
* One photo only. Make it the focus of your page.
* No faces in the photo. The picture has to be centered on an inanimate object that helps you tell your story. (If there are residual body parts in the story… ie kids feet by a pile of toys, etc, that’s fine. But NO faces. No people as the focus. Got it?)
* Journaling. Give us the details of the story that your photo is telling. We want people twenty years from now to be able to understand what this photo means to you.
* Have your journaling interact with / overlap your photo somehow. You can journal around the perimeter of your photo, journal straight on your photo, use your photo as
the background, overlay journaling strips over your photo… however you want to interpret this is fine.
* Stitch your photo down somehow.
* Kraft. Use kraft paper or elements or alpha. Whatever. But get some kraft on this page somehow.
I used it as inspiration for my first december daily page:

Check out the digi dares blog…there’s a treat for digi dare readers.

Scraplift a CT 12.1.11

Hello, Chelle’s Creations friends and fans! It’s time for our challenge for you to create a digital scrapbook page by scraplifting a member of Chelle’s creative team. This month, we’re lifting Shari, and you can view her gallery here (you’ll love it – she makes AWESOME pages). Here’s one of my favorites of hers, and it’s the Washington Monument. I love the large focal point photo on the left.

Two of Chelle’s team scraplifted this page and came up with these beautiful layouts you’ll see next. First, Jennifer created a gorgeous page about a visit to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville using Chelle’s In Harmony kit.
Next, Fonetta took the same inspiration and made a yummy page about her son’s creatively grilled burger using, of course, Chelle’s Chillin’ & Grillin’ kit and Celebrate! Bold.Carol made this page after looking at Shari’s Families Are Made with Love layout. Rebecca perused Shari’s gallery and found her page It’s Great to Be 8.  She used it for inspiration for this adorable page of her boys helping to make breakfast with their dad, and she used Chelle’s Sunnyside Up kit. Finally, Leslie took a double page spread of Shari’s called Grandpa’s Garden and made it her own about a trip to Carlsbad Caverns using Chelle’s On the Trail. So, here’s the challenge: if YOU do a scrap lift of any layout in Shari’s gallery and post in Chelle’s Creations ScrapOrchard gallery and leave a link to your lift in the comments section of this post, BY THE END OF THIS MONTH,then you will get this awesome gift from Shari AND be entered to win a $10 gift card from Chelle’s Creations! How awesome is that?!

What are you waiting for? Don’t forget to come back here to comment with a link to your layout in Chelle’s Gallery.
