Woot! Just got back from vacation…(remember, my EHD died the day before we left) This morning the FedEx man brought me a package. I’m headed out the door to replenish my refrigerator, but I just had to stop and see if everything was on my new EHD. IT IS!!!!!

Back up your files. Do it today…right now. I love Backblaze because they back-up External drives. Woot!

ps…my original back-up took more than 2 months because I have LOTS of digi stuff & pictures. I understand that Crashplan will send you an EHD and you can do your original back up that way. But I know for CERTAIN that Backblaze works!

    Yeah, backblaze works– until you have a problem and need to talk to their customer service. I’d been a customer for almost 3 years when they all of a sudden couldn’t use my credit card (which worked everywhere else still) After investigating with Paypal an providing them with an error code that backblaze gave me ( this is how they process their ccards, eventhough you arent allowed to pay directly through paypal) backblaze was having issues with their software and needed to call paypal. After 2 weeks of back and forth I finally get a customer service rep to help me and he pretty much says too bad, they are deleting all of my 700 gigs of data unless I buy a whole year up front at an increased price because my credit card is broken according to them. Needless to say, I’m not down with being bullied just because someone doesn’t want to look into their own technical errors so I switched to crashplan- who lets you back up multiple household computers for the same price as one backblaze.

    oh, and backblaze doesn’t even have a phone number to get in touch with them, so good luck if you need real communication.
