I Am Thankful For…” | Digital Scrapbooking Words on Wednesday

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just a couple weeks away, I need to get going on my digital scrapbooking layouts. I”m grateful all year long, but I really focus on it around this U.S. Holiday. Well, our new team members have upped our game at layouts and I can’t wait to show you what they did.

Kassie (Kass_23) shares her thankfulness for her children. I love those smaller pictures of her kids in addition to the large photo.

Next we have, Christine (CarolinaScrapper) She did some awesome clustering and then shares a list of things she is thankful for. I really like the way she spaced out her list.

Last, Cami (camijo) shares how thankful she is for Missionaries. She used Choose The Right {Missionary} & Make A Missionary kits.

Here are the kits used in these 3 layouts.

What are you thankful for? Scrap it and load it in the gallery. I can’t wait to see what you create.

Hugs!

Week in the Life Day 5 | Digital Scrapbook Inspiration

This one was fun because it included one of our “everyday” fall traditions:  high school football (it happened to be homecoming) and ice cream afterwards at A&W.

witl_friday

Top to bottom, left to right:  Getting ready while Dad reads scriptures, Marky at school: in love with the toothbrush, sobbed when it ran out of battery power (headband = hearing aides), Nat & Teanna went to the Luke Brian concert, honey nut cheerios = breakfast of champions, in a cup (no milk) = how to eat them easily on the way to school (while driving) so you aren’t late.  Homecoming football game.  Fireworks at halftime. Enjoying a chicken nugget on Grandma’s lap during the game.  Post game tradition:  ice cream @ A&W.  (Em prefers to dip her fries…blech)

Two more days.  We are still snapping away, but I’m not sure when I’ll get them posted…

Week in the Life Day 4 | Digital Scrapbook Inspiration

Can I say I am really enjoying this?  More help with photos from the girls today.

witl_thursday

Top to bottom, left to right-ish:  Dusk–finally heading home–clear skies.  The summer sandals are falling apart, time for new shoes.  #1 size 10.5, #2 Dusty CropHopper shoes.  Em @ work with orders for 140 corsages for Saturday night.  Homecoming weekend at 4 high schools in the valley. Em’s morning hair tools: flat iron & styling wand.  Nat’s new boots (we did the bogo 50% off THREE times today…different times/people/stores:  tennis shoes X 2 for the little guy, Boots & sparkly flats for Nat, & moccasins for me and tennis shoes for Marky.)  Flowers Em arranged and delivered to Nat.  Nat & I had our monthly mother/daughter pedicure date.  Chick-fil-a lemonade to cool off after pedicures.  Em often takes pics of the beautiful flowers she works with.  Dave was on kid duty while Nat & I were at the pedicure.  Then the boys went with him to work and to run errands.  Marky likes sitting in the back seat not in his wheelchair.

Week in the Life Day 3 | Digital Scrapbook Inspiration

It’s already day 3.  Amazingly, we are still doing a pretty good job with this project.  My day was boring and uneventful (I work all day on Wednesdays) so I didn’t have as many photos, but my daughters and Marky’s nurse pitched in with their photos.

And I learned a few things already.  #1:  They don’t realize Marky is supposed to be on his TUMMY on the scooter.  LOL!  and #2.  I’m already getting more creative and planning the photos more.  For example, I knew i wanted a photo of my little guy’s middle of the night drink of milk.  Clearly I needed light to capture the photo, but I wanted to convey “middle of the night”.  I was pondering that as I filled the cup before going to bed and realized that the light from the fridge would work perfectly to convey that mood.  (I’m already seeing that P365 would drastically improve my photography…still thinking about that major of a commitment.)

witl_wednesday

Top to bottom, left to right-ish:  Blowing bubbles outside in your PJs before breakfast.  That’s how all the “good Mom’s” do it, right?  Utah State’s Old Main lit up at night (oldest DD is a student…this is one of her pics from today), Marky on the scooter (upside down), middle of the night drink of milk, leaves are beginning to change in the canyon, many (if not most) afternoons my snack is a small dish of oatmeal with crasins.  As I headed upstairs (to work) I heard footsteps behind me.  My little guy had his own dish of oatmeal and a spoon and was following right behind me…thrilled., asleep.  lamp light on, video playing on netflix.  Designer Club webinar this morning, stained glass windows in USU’s Old Main, & my 16 year old is WAY excited because ios7 came out today.  (I didn’t even realize that…and I wasn’t sure I wanted to download it yet.)  She texted me in the middle of the day to find out if it was available yet.  So I downloaded it, installed it, screen shotted my main screen and texted it back to her.  Her response?  “U suck”

Week in the Life Day 2 | Digital Scrapbook Inspiration

I got a few photos from others today.  Or at least they took them.  I’ve seen them on their phones.  But I didn’t get them downloaded in time for my post.  So here’s just a few from me:

witl_tuesday

Tomorrow I’ll figure out how to get pics from them quicker.  In the meantime, here’s a summary:

M&M’s were afternoon snack today.  (Bad Mommy).  The wasps on the front porch.  We duck when we got past them each day.  Need to get rid of them.  Dave working through lunch.  He’s such a hard worker!  Playing in the sunshine, just after waking up.  Library story time.  Working while he does “science” with the little foam-in-a-capsule critters.  The sunrise this morning.  The lightning storm this evening.

PS.  I’m really excited to scrap these and get a book printed.  I’m just not sure how much journaling to do.  I could go on and on and on…  Or just 1-3 words per photo?

A little late is better than never | Digital Scrapbook Inspiration

I’ll admit it:  I’m jealous of those people who manage to do a week in the life album.  I have plenty of excuses:  “The house isn’t clean enough.”  “This week is too boring.”  “This week isn’t normal.” or my personal favorite:  “I don’t have time.”  But last week as I read Ali Edwards posts about her first day and listened to Ali & Katrina talk about it, I decided it would never be the perfect year and I should just do it!

But since it was already Tuesday…  I deemed THIS week our Week in the Life week.  And we survived the first day.  Hopefully I’ll post a few of my pics each day.  That will keep me accountable.  :)

witl_monday

From left to right, top to bottom…sort of:  the aftermath of DD18’s car accident, DS12 getting off the bus, my peaches/yogurt/raspberries lunch (peaches 3 meals a day for the short weeks they are in season), the bill for appliance repair, doing payroll, the darkness when DS12 gets ON the bus at 6:30AM, B is for butterfly at preschool (the butterfly I made from felt and little black gloves so he’d have it for show & tell),  Our overgrown hibiscus (I am trying to grow new starts), designing, & DD16 getting ready…she LOVES to scribble on her mirrors with white board markers.

See you tomorrow!
