Gallery Standouts | Digital Scrapbooking Inspiration

Hello Everyone! Wow,  do you love the new pin-style gallery at Scrap Orchard? At first I was a little timid because I’d never used a “pin,” but I quickly got the hang of it and I have a few new favorite to share. I’m excited about the GSO’s now, I see so many more layouts in the pin format. It’s sure to give us many ideas for our digital scrapbooking layouts. Let’s get started.

I absolutely adore this layout. My Kitchenaid mixer is actually the metallic (hot pink) pink one, so this really grabbed my attention.

Let me show you Chelle’s Lovin from the Oven, so you can see what a great job enjoyyourpix did. Imagine the fun you could have matching Lovin from the Oven to your kitchen decor.

Next let’s look at Wendy W’s layout, “Pink Pancakes.” Love this fun idea for a princess birthday breakfast. This LO just makes me smile all over. I can see pink adorned little girls giggling through this meal.

Title & Subtitle | Digital Scrapbooking Words on Wednesday

Hello Everyone! Hope you’re having a great Wednesday! Aunt Sari here to talk about Titles. We seem to either love them or hate them. One fun way to change things up is to separate your title into a title & a subtitle. Chelle does this all the time with her word arts. One or two words are large & made with an alpha, the rest are done with a font. Whatever you choose do, word art titles really add color and fun to any LO. See you soon!

Aren’t these adorable? I look at them and I see family cookouts, amusement parks, water parks, watching community softball or baseball games. We used to play water balloon volleyball when I was in my 20s–worked out really good too, unless you had a partner who preferred to break the balloons rather than catch them with your towel and send them back over the net to someone else. Who can think of summer now without the human elastic rubber band game. I”m sure you all have great ideas. Here’s some from the Creative Team: First up we have Cara showing us a field trip to the Zoo. The contrast on the title (word art) really pops.

Next up is Ophelia with a super design on trains. The Polar Express title really helps me hear the clackety-clack and the whistle to alert everyone the train is pulling into the station.

Last, we have Roxana who used different sub-titled tags to help frame her pictures. I love the title of “Oh My” It really pulls all the dark elements together. Now I need some candy corn. Bummer!

Unlikely Pairs: Primarily & Sunnyside Up | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Kimberly here with your unlikely pairs post.  Today we will look at 2 digital scrapbooking kits: Sunnyside Up and Primarily.  The creative team did an amazing job mixing these two kits.  Have you checked your stash lately to see what kits you can combine for amazing layouts?

Erica created Waffle Breakfast

Fonnetta created this Yummy Page which also features Primarily Stitched alpha

Cara created this humorous layout: Nero

I have both of these kits so I am going to go see what I can do with them.  Remember to upload your layouts to Chelle’s Gallery so we can leave you some love!

Sunnyside Up | Digital Scrapbooking Classics

Hi! Cheryl here, and I’m thrilled to show you some new digital scrapbook creations with a yummy kit (one of my personal favorites!!) called Sunnyside Up. Cara made a terrific page that is actually a note to her son about why she can’t understand how he can skip breakfast. There must be a million of us moms who can relate to that! But, look at this page with that yummy egg peeking out from behind the words, and see if it doesn’t make you hungry like it does for me.

This kit is also perfect for those cute character breakfast photos you have, and Carol used it to make an adorable page with her daughter’s breakfast with that famous Pooh bear Winnie. Just look how well the pink grapefruit and jam elements pick up on her pink jacket.

Did I mention this kit is one of my favorites? It’s versatile and perfect for many events, not just breakfast gatherings. Check out Erica’s page of her precious baby learning to handle his own snacks in his high chair. I can’t tell which cereal pieces came with the kit and which ones are in her photos – so cute!

Speaking of cute, have you seen Fonetta’s Littlest Sunshine? The warm colors and the elements in the kit look amazing with her beautiful daughter’s photos, and those paper frames highlight her sweetness perfectly.

Here’s a closer look at the kit.

Have fun with Sunnyside Up. I’m hungry now, so I’m going to find my favorite waffle recipe.
